How MSB Group turned timelapse into a sales, marketing, and management power tool with Interval Films
The client

MSB Group is a growing construction and manufacturing company based in the UK, specialising in the manufacture of structural steel and turnkey delivery of portal frame buildings.

As a one-stop shop for clients, MSB prides itself on speed, quality, and precision. But as the business expanded, they needed a better way to showcase their capabilities, not just describe them. Static photos couldn’t convey the scope or sophistication of their projects.

The challenge

Kevan Spencer, MSB’s Sales & Commercial Director, wanted a way to demonstrate MSB’s expertise in a fast, visual format that would engage clients and decision-makers.

“Photographs are good, but you can’t tell the full story with stills alone,” Kevan explained. “The people I’m approaching are time-poor, so we have to show relevance quickly, timelapse does this brilliantly.”

MSB’s goal was twofold:
  1. Externally, use timelapse to attract new business, support tender submissions, and strengthen marketing campaigns.
  2. Internally, use the footage and live video feeds to track progress and enhance project management visibility across sites.

They needed a reliable, responsive partner who could handle complex site environments and deliver a consistent, professional output.

The process & solution

Interval Films partnered with MSB Group across multiple sites, installing timelapse cameras and live video streams that gave the team an instant, remote view of progress, from steel erection to concrete pours.

The live feed became a daily management tool, enabling Kevan and his project teams to monitor progress, check for on-time deliveries, and share updates instantly with engineers and stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Interval’s cinematic edits turned those same projects into dynamic marketing assets, easily embedded in emails, tenders, and presentations.

Behind the scenes, the Interval.TV portal provided a central hub for all footage and stills, giving MSB quick access to visuals for sales outreach, showcase events, and internal reviews.

The impact

MSB now uses Interval Films’ footage across every stage of its commercial workflow:

  1. New Business & Sales: Timelapse videos embedded in outreach emails help grab attention and communicate capability instantly.
  2. Tender Support: Visual proof of past performance strengthens bids and differentiates MSB from competitors.
  3. Project Management: Live video feeds give teams full visibility, helping spot progress issues early.
  4. Marketing & Events: Eye-catching footage powers exhibitions and showcases — even captivating guests like Princess Anne and the Mayor of Worcester at one event.

Kevan credits Interval’s responsiveness and reliability as key to their success:

“They have a level of service that not every company has. Responsive, efficient, and versatile,  those little details go a long way.”
